My Father was very fortunate that Carolyn came into his life. She was such a gracious and loving person who shared the simple interests that my Dad liked to do like going to the Drake Relays, watching Duke basketball or attending all the grandchildren events. They loved their road trips up to Northeast, Iowa and though they did not get the opportunity to take more of those trips together here on earth they are undoubtedly taking those trips in heaven in an old model T with Leroy sitting in the front seat with them. Carolyn was a wonderful women and we are grateful for all she did for us. We know she is with peace now, but we will miss her.

Imagine if you will, when Cinderella was written, if the author would have used Carolyn for the role model of the Step Mother. Cinderella would learned piano and sang hymns daily. Cindella would have enjoyed gardening, cooking and learning to crochet. Most important of all Carolyn would have reiterated Cinderlla's Mother's quote of "Have courage and be kind." This was certainly how Carolyn lived her life and how she treated Marvin, Karla and I. Carolyn was a lovely grandmother to my children which was greatly appreciated. So I will think of you now in Heaven singing with the angels, having tea with P. Buckley Moss and keeping my Dad in line. Take care Chad and Greg.
