Gerald "Dale" Blaine

Gerald “Dale” Blaine, 89, passed away on December 13, 2017, at University Park in Des Moines. He was born in Harlan, on September 11, 1928, to Kerry and Mae Blaine.

Dale enjoyed racing, fishing and camping.

Dale is survived by his children, Steve Blaine and David Blaine; grandchildren, Jeremy, Andrea, Stevie, Scott, JR, Kasie and Aarron; 11 great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia; son, Jerry Blaine; four brothers; and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Monday, December 18, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Dale.
