Lola Grandstaff

Lola B. Grandstaff, 79, passed away December 10, 2017 at Mercy West Lakes. She was born April 5, 1938 to Raymond and Ethel (Still) Baker in Stuart, Ia.

Lola was a homemaker, and enjoyed the time she spent with Gary traveling, whose career made it possible to travel extensively.

She is survived by her daughters; Cindi (Tony) Lee and Cheri Mills; grandchildren, Jeff (Shannon) Lee, Heather (Ty) Russell and Shelby Mills; great-grandchildren, Shyanne Lee, Savannah Lee, Liam Russell, and Aiden Russell; siblings, Patricia (Verdis) Williams and Sandy (Homer) Cowger.

Lola is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Grandstaff; siblings, Randy Baker and Beverly Roberts.

A celebration of Lola’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW in Altoona. Visitation will be held the evening before from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will occur directly following the service at Altoona Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed toward the Animal Rescue League of Iowa in loving memory of Lola.
