Charlotte Belle Thompson

“I am dead.”
Our mom, the frugal minimalist, would have loved us to stop there.
Alas, we must give her credit due, for being Larry’s faithful wife of 58 years, a capable mother of Valerie, Theresa and Brett, and a dedicated family care giver, to her final day. The blue eyed brunette was a Sufficool through and through, and didn’t mince words. She lived the golden rule, as any true Methodist would. R.I.P Charlotte Belle 1940-2017.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents John and Vera (Kaster) Sufficool, brother Paul Sufficool, son Brett, and son- in-law Mamadou Sissoko.
She is survived by mother-in-law Dorothy (Worden) Thompson, daughters Valerie Thompson of St. Louis, Mo, and Theresa Carter of Glendale, Az, sister-in-law Linda (Barker) Sufficool of Colfax, and nieces Leslie (Sufficool) Malcom of Altoona, Jerri Kay Thompson of Elkader, and Doris Newport of Aukland, New Zealand.
Interment will be at Colfax Hilltop Cemetery, Sunday Dec. 17, sans ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be used to commemorate Charlotte through the Iowa State Fair Blue Ribbon Foundation.

To all those that have made donations for mom's memorial, thank you. We are working with Drew Norton of the blue ribbon foundation on Bricks near Ye Old Mill, at the State Fair Ground.
For those that didn't hear details, mom died unexpectedly of a brain anyeurism Dec 8, at Lutheran Hospital.
It happened very fast, she didn't suffer long.

To my Friend and Working associate at Farmland. Through the years we have always kept in touch. Each time I came to Des Moines after I retired and moved out of state, we would always get together for Breakfast to catch up on each other lives.
I will miss these times and your Friendship.

So shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She was a true friend and classmate (Class of 1958 Colfax High School). We had been planning our 60th Class Reunion next May. We had a lot of fun times together. I will miss her greatly. RIP Charlotte
