Alene Lacey

On April 22, 2008, our mom, Alene Lacey passed away at the Carlisle Care Center. She was 88 years old.
Alene loved life and enjoyed driving her red ‘68 Chevy, the Iowa Sate Fair, feeding the squirrels, stock car races at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and Webster City and country music. She married her husband, (our dad) Leonard in 1938. They are together again. She has joined forever her mom and dad, Marie and Archie and her brothers, Helmer Jr., and Johnny.
She leaves behind her son, Danny (Georgia) Lacey; daughter, Linda Darryl; sister, Betty (Ed) Irving; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren; nephews, cousins and one niece in the Des Moines area and California.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
We are especially grateful for the loving care she received at the Carlisle Care Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League.
We will miss her love, her smile and her “spunk”.
