Mary Jane Richards

Mary Jane Fisher Richards, 80, of Des Moines went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday evening at the funeral home. Mary Jane was a 1945 graduate of East High School. She was a homemaker, a member of Grace Church, the East High School Alumni Club and was an avid crotchetier, crocheting over 100 bed sized afghans that were all given away. She is survived by her husband Lloyd, her son Lloyd James (Debra) Richards of Woodland, Minnesota, her daughter Judith (John) McConnell of Phoenix, her grandchildren Schuyler Sampson of Lincoln, Nebraska and Emily Richards Klaphake of Minneapolis, her sister Margaret Voss of Scottsdale, Arizona as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Church.
