Charles D. Kurtz, 91, of Des Moines, died November 30, 2017, at Union Park Health Services. Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family at Highland Memory Gardens. Charles was born July 17, 1926, the son of Albert and Henrietta (Johnson) Kurtz in Polk City, Iowa. Charles lived in Des Moines since 1956. He was retired from Equitable Life Insurance Company of Iowa and was a WWII Navy Veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma, and several nieces and nephews.
