Kevin R. Anderson

Kevin Ronald Anderson was born February 27, 1950, in Hampton, Iowa, the son of George and Muriel Anderson. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, earning a National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.

Kevin passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday morning, November 25, 2017, at the Des Moines V. A. Hospital. He was 67 years old.

He leaves behind his wife, Christina, son, Daniel Smith, step-daughter, Vicki Wilson, two grandsons, four step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren, four brothers, Curtis, Vincent, Daniel and Dana and one sister, Victoria.

Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, Brian and his parents, George and Muriel Anderson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 4, 2017, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, Iowa. Interment with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa.
