Richard Richardson, 57, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. He was born January 26, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa
He enjoyed riding his bike. He also loved making gingerbread houses and Christmas candy. He spent a lot of time camping and exploring. We will always remember his love for the Iowa State Fair working and enjoying all of the sites.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Jessica and son, Josh. He has three grandchildren, Zoe (10), Dominic (7) and Elsie (1 year). Richard is also survived by his mother, Anne; brother, Russell, and sister, Terri as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Richardson.
Per his wishes, cremation will occur. The family will say their goodbyes privately and a memorial luncheon will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Richard.

I knew Ritchie many years ago in Houston. He was a great roomie and a great cook! RIP RICHIE RICH!

I have known Ritchie only a short time, but we had a friendship that instantly felt like we were friends forever. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Dear Ritchie I love you my brother I will miss you if only you could have came down to Springfield I wanted nothing more for you to get away from that place your life may be over but your Journey Begins you will be making gingerbread houses and giving God pedicab rides so dear God take this man into your arms and be his friend like he was to so many others

Richard was of excellent calibur. He will be greatly missed by many. I wish I hadn't read of his passing; it seemed surreal. If i had ability to, I'd post a photo of the quality work he did on a Halloween gingerbread house just last month. All condolences to friends, family, etc...

I've known your father a short time and glad I did get to meet him. He had the most wonderful kids and family anyone could ask for. He is at rest and his soul is still gracing us. Rest IN Peace Richard
