Ruth Deaton

Ruth Naomi Deaton passed away peacfully Tuesday morning April 15, 2008 at Parkridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Ruth was born July 23, 1915 in Des Moines, Iowa and was raised by her Maternal Grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Fred McCall.
Ruth married Emerson Deaton, Jr. on October 15, 1932. They remained devoted to each other until Emerson's death on October 26, 1992.
Ruth was preceded in death by her siblings Rosie Erickson, Ruby Balduchi and Thelma Clemmons. She is survived by her daughter Alberta Snodgrass of Indianapolis, Indiana, her brother George Schmidt of Des Moines, Iowa and her sister Opal Grimes in California. She had two grandsons and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Hamilton's 605 Lyon Street Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, April 18, 2008 fromm 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. with a short memorial from 12:30 to 1 p.m. A graveside gathering will be at 1:30 p.m. at Warren Powers Cemetery, Adelphi, Iowa.
