Likel Joseph Dickerson, 56, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Taylor House from complications of lung cancer. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Likel was born February 4, 1952 and worked for many years at Rising Sun Stables where he made several friends and shared his loved of horses and nature with everyone.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Dickerson; grandchildren, Jerzy Jr. and James Boczkowski; parents, Likel and Lucille Hartman; and adoptive parents, Lila and Ralph Dickerson.
Likel is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Jerzy) Boczkowski, grandchildren, Trevor and Trey Boczkowski; sisters, Linda (Danny) Beason, JoAnn Moore, Barb (Eugene) Davis, and Penny Hartman; brother, Lloyd Hartman; sisters, Glenda Dickerson and Sandy (Joe) Coder; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
The family is requesting donations in lieu of flowers to assist with his final expenses.

My heart goes out to all of you on the loss of your brother Likel.
My God confort and bless you in this time of sorrow.
I just looked through the pictures I had taken the time Likel
came to Oskaloosa for Rachel Silvers's birthday party. He was
thrilled to be able to show off his grandchildren to us.
