Wesley Redhead, Jr.

Wesley Earl Redhead, 57, of Des Moines died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 of prostate cancer at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. A Memorial Service for Wes will be Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Mitchellville Assembly of God Church 2nd and Center Ave. N. Mitchellville, Iowa.
Wesley Earl was born November 5, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Wesley Dale and Marjorie Redhead. He graduated from East Des Moines high school in 1968 and then served four years in the U.S. Navy. Wes retired from working at Veterans Hospital in 1999. He also barbered at Hair Affair and Roosevelt Barber shops in Des Moines.
He is survived by his father, Wesley D. Redhead, brothers Fred (Theresa) Redhead, Doug (Kathleen) Redhead, two daughters, Megan Redhead and Melanie Buck, and one grandson Kaden McNaney.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Wes has donated his body to Des Moines University for scientific purposes.
