Rita Bondi

Rita Campomagnani Bondi, 91 died peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2008 surrounded by her family. Rita was born in Enterprise Iowa in 1916. She was raised in Italy and came to America in 1948 with her husband, Olinto Bondi. She was a kind and gentle soul; all who knew her loved her. She worked as a seamstress, a caretaker, and a homemaker. She was also a wonderful cook and enjoyed caring for animals.
Rita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Olinto Bondi. She is survived by her brothers, Joseph Campo of Des Moines, Tonino Campomagnani of Italy, Ferdenando Campomagnani of Italy and many family members in the United States and Italy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 10th at Christ the King Church from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery on Friday following services at Christ the King Church at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church or the South Side Senior Citizen Center.
