Rebecca Sue "Becky" Nelson

Rebecca Sue Nelson, 67, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2017. Visitation will be held Friday, November 24 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.

Becky was born June 9, 1950 in Des Moines, IA to Helen (Wimber) and John Campbell. She graduated from Lincoln High School and then from AIB. She worked as a property manager for all of her career and retired in 1999. At that time, Becky moved to Arizona but returned to Iowa in 2003 to be closer to her adored family. She was a vibrant personality with an infectious laugh and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Nelson; children, Cliff (Shawna) Baker, Judy (Jesus) Ruiz and Melissa (Mike) Bercier; grandchildren, Isabelle, Mia, Hunter, Brooklyn, Anissa, Ally, Anna and William; siblings, David (Jeri) Campbell, Marilyn (Craig) Potthoff, Linda (Ron) Ripper, Cindy (Don) Young, and Kristy Hadley. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Judith Erickson, Johnney Campbell, Randy Campbell, Kathy Michael and Jerry Campbell.
