Bartt Bendixen, 58, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his home in Des Moines. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 30 years, Erika; children, Courtney (Brian), Mallory (Josh), and Colt; grandchildren, Zoey, Axel and Emma; mother, Majorie; brother, Brett; sister, Kim (Richard); his dog, Max; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leif.
Bart was born July 1, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Leif and Marjorie Bendixen. He graduated from North High School in 1977. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his three grandchildren, Zoey, Axel and Emma. He is loved and will be missed by many.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

I worked with Bartt at the state of iowa and I considered him a close friend and great coworker,,,you will be missed my old friend!!

I am So Sorry for your loss. It's really sad because your family has been thru so much. My thots & prayers are with you & your family. Brett, you have been thru so much pain this year & losing your brother must be even more painful for you as well. Bart always had a camera around his neck at North High, ready to snap a photo for Oracle or Polar Bear yearbook. He is with the angels now.
