Jose Ramirez

Jose Ramirez, 54, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at his home. His funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008 at Our Lady of the America’s Visitation Worship Center. Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with a vigil service at 5:00 p.m.
Jose was born December 16, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa. He worked as a laborer for DSM Union Railway for 27 years before retiring in 1997. After retirement, he worked part time for UPS. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps from 1972 – 1974. He was an avid Cubs and Hawkeye fan.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Aija; his children, Emilio, Miguel, and Diego; and his siblings: Pete, Louis, Teresa, Elena, Bernadine, Viena, Carlos, Ricardo, Mario, Alicia and Rita.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the America’s Visitation Worship Center in loving memory of Jose.
