Emily Cater

Emily N. Cater, 94, passed away Monday, December 11, 2006 at Taylor House – Hospice in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4:00 pm, Friday at Hamilton’s. The family will be present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Emily was a graduate of East High School and worked many years as assistant budget director with James Sarcone at Polk County. She was a member of Grandview Park Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George and son, David.
Emily is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Cater; granddaughters, Teri Treen (Jack Kuhns) of Des Moines, Lori Nyberg (David) of West Des Moines, Taylor Mills Sucherman (Todd) of Austin, Texas; great-granddaughters, Kelsey Treen and Mercedes Kuhns.
Memorial contributions can be made to Willow Creek Baptist Church.
