Virgil Knapp

Virgil, known as 'Punky', to his old friends, 'Knapp'to his work friends, 'Dad' to his children, 'Popo' to his grandchildren and 'Papa Candy' to his great
grandchildren, passed away early Friday morning. He was born July 26, 1938 in Des Moines, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Clarabelle of 49 years; three
children, Rocky, Rick and Peachy; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and four siblings, Fred, Barbara, Hank and Ronnie.
Virgil was friends with everyone and a stranger to no one, always ready for a quick joke and a good laugh, you could often find him at the round table telling tales and drinking coffee with his friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held Monday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
