Herman T. Griffiths

Herman T. Griffiths, 90, died Friday, March 21, 2008 in Sublimity, Oregon. Herman was born in Lucas, Iowa and lived many years in Des Moines.
Herman served in the US Army in WWII. He worked as a machinist for over 25 years for Rohr Aircraft. Herman enjoyed traveling, woodworking, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, and was a professional guitarist and musician.
Herman is survived by sons, Richard Griffiths of Stayton, OR and Ronald Griffiths of Lakeside, CA; daughters, Judy Porter of Elko, NV, Marilyn Fehling and Crystal Eskew, both of Wagoner, OK; brother, Wendell Griffiths of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Marguerite Trusty of Creston, IA and Harriet Sevier of Des Moines, IA; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Herman was preceded in death by his first wife, Bertha (Purchase) Griffiths in 1950, second wife, Jeanette Fitch and third wife, Vivian Prather.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines, IA.
