Yvonne K. Ryner, 72, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Yvonne was born on October 12, 1935 in Iowa City to Harrison and Lucille Wunn. Yvonne grew up on a farm in the Laurel-Gilman area.
Yvonne is survived by sons, Mark Ryner and Michael (Terri) Ryner, both of Des Moines; brother, Ben (Yolanda Medina) Wunn of Plano, TX; half brother, Merlin (Perry) Wunn of Ambler, PA; 4 grandchildren, Stephanie Ryner, Brock Ryner, Bobbi Ryner and Michael Ryner, all of Des Moines.
Yvonne is preceded in death by husband, Clifford Ryner; her parents; step-mother, Grace; brothers, Emory and Bill, and half brother, Harold.
Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Friday, March 28, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines; followed by a graveside service held at 11:15 a.m. at Laurel Methodist Cemetery, Laurel, IA. Family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston, 5820 Winwood Dr. Johnston, IA 50131.

To all the Family;
I am still in shock, over the passing of Yvonne. She was a wonderful women, I so appreciate the Aunt she was to my children, the kindness, and understanding, friend she was to me, a wonderful sister in law. My love and prayers for all of you. I would have come, but the trip would have been just to difficult for me. I think my traveling days are over.

I am SO sorry for your loss. We loved Yvonne so much. She was such a beautiful, caring, strong woman. We had the joy of not only being related to her but to also be neighbors for so many years. It was such a joy to walk down the street on the way to the park and be able to stop and say HI. She watched the kids for me so I could help out at the school. They LOVED to go to "Feeyons" house, as they would say. :) She will be sorely missed by all of us. I still cannot believe all of this, but take comfort in knowing she is without pain and with Cliff again. I love you Yvonne. You will NEVER be forgotten!
