Maria O. Campo, 87, died peacefully Easter Sunday evening surrounded by her family. Maria was born and raised in the mountains of Northern Italy. She joined her husband John in Des Moines after WWII. She raised four children: John Campo, Albina Querrey, Linda Boyd and Fred Campo. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday March 26th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery on Thursday following services at Christ the King Church at 11am.
Buona Pasqua, Maria. We love you and we’ll miss you.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Church or Kavanagh House Hospice.

Dear Bina: I was saddened to read of your mother's death. No matter the circumstances, I know it's a tough time.
Also a time for memories. You may not remember, but I gave my first IM injection -to a "real" patient- to your Mom many moons ago. She was very gracious - and brave!
I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
