Tanner Kurtis Sellers

Tanner Kurtis Sellers, 24, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends.
Services will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 10th. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 11th, followed by burial at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Tanner was born July 31, 1993, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from Ankeny High School and attended University of Northern Iowa and Des Moines Area Community College. Tanner’s favorite hobby was acquiring as many new friends as possible. He worked a variety of places, most recently as a server at The Fletcher in Ankeny. Tanner was drawn to any outdoor activity and especially loved boating, spending time at the lake, and Frisbee golf. He loved to dance and liked “fighting” with his brother. He had a magnetic personality and will be missed by all who knew him.
Tanner is survived by his mom, Tiffany Reese (Mike Henson); dad, Jeff Sellers; brother, Jordan Sellers (Rori Johnson); grandparents, Dean and Joanne Sellers, Frosty and Cyndy Reese, and Mark and Vicky Herrald; great-grandmother, Alberta Ritter; aunts and uncles, Sherri (Roger) Brose, Kellie (Doug) Frame, Jami Myers, Teri (Mark) Casey, and Shawn Gibbens; cousins, Brandon (Crista) Reilly, James (Jael) Brose, Dolly (Brian) Kauffman, Jeremy Frame, Abbye Frame, Mackinzie Myers, Mallorie Myers, Morgan Myers, and Joel Casey; the love of his life, Amanda Johnson; and a host of extended family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and his best friend, Ryan Cookson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family at this time for a future designation or to Wells Fargo Bank where a memorial has been set up in Tanner’s name. Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

never did i ever see tanner without a big smile and a great big bear hug!! my husband,my daughters,and my entire extended family loved him! we always felt joy atfer even a short conversation with him. he was such a great worker and friend.we saw how hard he worked on keeping his life straight.he is now at peace.we will sure miss him in our lives. renita didonato
