Mary Briggs, 78, of Des Moines, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2017. She was born September 9, 1939, in Pleasantville, IA to Ruby G. (Trent) and Beryle E. Plummer.
Mary married the love of her life Edwin D. Briggs. She loved shopping and spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ed; children, Michael Briggs, Mary Baker and Marsha Briggs; sister, Bernita Moats; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, November 6, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m., also at the funeral home.

My heart and deepest sympathies to the Briggs's family during this difficult time. Nothing I personally can say or do to ease your pain. But I found Phillipians 4:6,7 may helps because we encouraged to turn to God in prayer and He will give you peace and understanding. I really hope the scriptures help and strengthen you as you endure this difficult time.
