Dennis Morgan

Dennis Morgan, age 74, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 16, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dennis took great pride in his career as a Union Painter. Dennis enjoyed sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. Dennis also enjoyed fishing and painting.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include, his loving wife of 54 years, Judy; children, Denny (Patty), Craig (Polly), Matt (Sarah), and Mindy Morgan; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Russ Morgan and Paula Sweet; and many extended family members and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Morgan and Lou Crispen.
The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, October 30th also, at the funeral home followed by burial at Carlisle Cemetery.

Dennis you will be sorely missed, you were always so loving, kind and could tell a great story! Thank you for being a wonderful father in law to me and grandfather to Hunter, I love you, until we see you again.

I was so saddened to hear about the loss of Dennis. He was a great man. I have many fond childhood memories of Dennis and his wonderful family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.
