Brad Nyberg

Brad Nyberg, 69, of West Des Moines, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 13, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY, to Karl and Virginia Nyberg. Brad grew up in Moorhead, MN where he graduated from Moorhead High School in 1966 and received his B.A. from Moorhead State University in 1970. He landed a job with Bristol Myers Squibb as a sales representative and continued his career path in sales over the years.
Brad had a passion for playing golf, gardening and a love for music, especially Gordon Lightfoot. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, and 8 grandchildren. He loved his family and will be greatly missed forever.
Brad is remembered by his wife of 15 years, Karen Gross; mother, Virginia Nyberg; children, Matt Nyberg, Wes (Katie) Nyberg, Stephanie (Matt) Hinners, and Megan (Brian) Griffith; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Connie Nyberg, Roberta Shimensky, Mike Nyberg, and Vickie (Dan) Wagner, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives and family. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Karl Nyberg.
A memorial service will be Sunday, October 29, 2017, 2:30 pm at Hamilton’s Westown Funeral Home, 3601 Westown Parkway.

Brad was such a lovely human and great husband and father. I enjoyed his sense of humor and his easy manner. He always made you feel welcome. He will be missed to all who loved and knew him.
My heart breaks for Karen and the family. I will be praying for you all as you navigate the upcoming months. I know you will all love on each other and provide compassion and support.
