Anna Marasco Adams, 90, of Des Moines, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Anna was born on June 11, 1927 in Des Moines to Rose Mary (Scavo) and Frank Scarcello.
She lived in Redwood City, California in 1931 and returned to Des Moines in 1938.Anna attended St Anthony School and then went to St Joseph Academy graduating in 1944. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. Anna married Michael Marasco in 1947 and had four children. Anna married John Adams in 1982 and they were married until his passing in 2001. Anna was the consummate homemaker for many years and enjoyed taking care of her family. Some of her specialties included, baking cookies, lasagna for their family Christmas. Anna loved reading her Bible and was a long time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Joanne (Mike) Hunter; Michael (Debra) Marasco, James (Wendy) Marasco, and Christopher (Stephanie) Marasco; step-daughter, Amy (Jeff) Jackson; step-sons, Hank (Elizabeth) Adams and Matt Adams; grandchildren, Julie, Chris, Chuck, Amelia, Jamie, Michael III, George, Melissa, Shane, and Haley; step-grandchildren, Amanda, Amber, Ashley, Tabitha, and Drake; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Adams; grandsons, John Marasco and Andrew Marasco; step-son, John David Adams; and step-daughter-in-law, Maria Adams.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Road in Des Moines. Family will greet visitors at 9:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church or St. Anthony School in memory of Anna.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in knowing Anna is safe in God's memory. We can be confident that God yearns for the time when he will bring Anna back to life in a perfect world when suffering will be no more and we will all welcome back our loved ones that are asleep in death. We are saddend by the loss of Anna. She was a sweet, spunky and loving lady and we loved her.
