Gyla Hedgpeth

Gyla Florien Hedgpeth, 91, passed away, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Trinity Center in Des Moines. Gyla was the daughter of Grover and Hannah Shriner, and was born in Rolfe, Iowa on July 21, 1916.
Gyla is survived by three sons, David Slaybaugh, Larry Hedgpeth, and Alan Hedgpeth; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; daughter, Gyla Deann; and son, Michael.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2008 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
