David Tucker, 58, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born March 31, 1949.
David is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; two daughters, Shelly (Jonathan) Schulte and Tracy (Jeff) Drury; son, Ryan Roberts; and daughter, Lindsay Johnson; and his eight grandchildren: Frankie, Lily, Eddie, Jon-Jon, Tucker, Jones, Ryan and Cierra.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of David.
The family of David Tucker, would like to thank the Taylor House Hospice for making a longtime dream of his come true, on March 8, 2008 at 11 a.m., David and Sandra became husband and wife, surrounded by family and friends.

Dad,
We all have been missing you so much. We never have gone this long without talking. We are taking the kids to Padre...your sweet daughter Tracy has set us up with ocean front living!! It's not the best time to go...but, when is? I miss you so much. And, all my tears are tears for you...tears of love.
I just can't believe that I won't be able to talk to you for the next 60 years. You're my hero, and always will be. I love you with all my heart. p.s. Dave Jones texts me??!!! Funny.

Sandy, Shelly, and Tracy,
I was saddened to learn about David's death. I met your family while David was at IMMC two weeks ago while working as a student nurse (from Mercy College) in ICU with him for two days.
My sympathy and prayers go out to your family and I wish that I had give you all hugs before leaving that Thursday.
With thoughts of David resting in peace. You all remain in my heart,

P.S. I may know Tracy's in-laws, the Drury family, if Jeff has a brother named Kevin who went to Drake University for graduate school. If so, it's a very small world.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I went to D.M.A.C.C. with him several years ago. I remember we went on a field trip to Minneapolis, none of us had much sleep that weekend. We were having tours in the bus of these poinsetta fields and all you could hear was Dave snoring, and we couldn't wake him up. But that night he was ready to go party some more. Remember all the good times and keep those memories near to your heart. Your family is in my prayers.
