Louise Weissinger

Louise Stanfield Weissinger, 86, formerly of Waukee, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Private graveside services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm Thursday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home,605 Lyon Street
Louise was born July 23, 1921 to Harry and Pauline Stanfield in Ankeny, IA. She was a 1939 graduate of East High School. Louise was employed in the payroll department at Broadlawns Hospital from 1939 to 1960. Beginning in 1960 she held the position of Executive Assistant at Ernst and Young until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, past member of National Secretaries Association and Soroptimist Club and volunteered at Waukee Public Library for many years.
Louise is survived by her nieces, Judy (Bob)Oliver, Diana Crank and Christine (Terry) Eblen, all of Des Moines; and her great nephews, Eric Gillaspy of Littleton, CO., Austin Elder and Rob (Brenda) Oliver, all of Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Weissinger and her sister, Helen Crank.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
