Hazel Easter

Hazel Easter, 95, died Friday, March 7, 2008 at Sunnyview Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Hazel was born June 15, 1912 to Clarence and Nellie Nichols in Knoxville, IA. She lived in the Des Moines area most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a good cook, her family especially enjoyed her homemade noodles. She will be remembered by her family for her impeccable memory, right up to her last days.
Hazel is survived by her children, Janice Smith of Des Moines, Lucretia (George) Kelce of Riverside, CA, Frank (Linda) Easter of Boulder City, NV, Lorretta Marsh of Ames and Kenneth (Vickie) Easter of Des Moines; 31 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; three children, Charles Easter, Rosemary Paige and John Easter; five brothers and two sisters.
