Beryl Quick

Beryl “Doc” Quick, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be held 10 am Saturday at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Prairie City, Iowa. Visitation will be held 5 to 8pm at the funeral home.
Beryl was born January 15, 1931 in Percy, IA to Opal and Russell Quick. Beryl served in the US Army from 1950 to 1952. He was formerly married to Leona Babcock. Beryl was currently working for Polk County. He formerly worked at Monarch Cement as a repairman. Beryl was a member of the United Cement, Lime and Gypsum Workers. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing and Sprint car racing.
Beryl is survived by his son, Ron; his daughters, Cheryl Gudehus and Sandra Olson; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his brother, Dean Quick, his sisters, Ardis Cox, Doris Quick, Bonnie Tuttle and Jo Munoz; his special friend, Judy Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Vernice McWilliams, Wanda Quick, Roberta Quick and his brother, Robert Quick
