Duane Vandenhemel

Duane Vandenhemel, 43, was born May 9, 1964 in Owatonna, Minnesota. He lived in Des Moines most of his life, and recently moved to Perry. He passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 5, 2008.
Duane is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Deanna; his sons, Jason Stevens, Damion (Krystal) Stevens, Duane Vandenhemel, Jr. and Corey Vandenhemel; grandsons, Calvin Stevens and Layden Stevens; his parents, Leonard and Mary Vandenhemel; 3 brothers; 1 sister; numerous nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Michael Stevens.
The family will greet friends from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Duane.
