Armida Magnani

Armida Magnani, 98 passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Armida moved to the Des Moines area more than 70 years ago from Bagni di Lucca, Italy. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Armida enjoyed spending time with her family.
Armida is survived by her daughter, Donna (Dick) Lankford; son, Elmo (Mary) Magnani; grandchildren, Dick, Jim, Lori, Lisa, Terry, Bobby, Randy, Larry and Tammy; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sam Magnani.
The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Armida.
