Paul H. Whitfield passed away at home on October 18, 2017. Paul was born August 20, 1960 In Des Moines IA to Charlie and Betty Whitfield. He was the second of six children, and the oldest son.
Paul was a graduate of Lincoln High School. He was a skilled welder and brilliant at figuring things out and making them work. He loved the outdoors – boating, water skiing, hunting and fishing. Paul worked at Ryko Manufacturing for over 25 years, and most recently at Quality Manufacturing.
Paul is survived by his two daughters, Kelly Anne Whitfield, attending UNI and Molly Elizabeth Whitfield, currently in High School in West Des Moines, step son John Beavers of West Des Moines; as well as his sisters and brother: Joyce Pentico (Ron) of Perry; Ann Prymek (Tom) of Des Moines; Susan Roth (Paul) of West Des Moines and Mark Whitfield (Mary) of Des Moines. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew as well as many, many cousins. He loved all of his family and he was loved by all.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Whitfield, his mother Betty and most recently, his dad, Charlie.
