David Ryburn, Sr.
Of Des Moines, Iowa
David Ryburn, Sr., age 64, passed away at his home on October 12, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 14, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa.
David retired from the State of Iowa after 38 years. He loved helping others, playing pranks, and listening to the Beatles. David was especially known for his creased pants and white tennis shoes! Above all, David loved his grandkids and treasured time spent with his family.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 23 years, Dania; children, David, Jr. (Chrissy), Lesa (Carl), Shannon; former wife, Mona Ryburn-Upah (Kevin); eight grandchildren; sisters, Linda and Patty; brothers, Mark and Tim.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Theodore Ryburn and Margaret Furry; brother, Clayton Dale Ryburn.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the family in loving memory of David.

First of all my heart goes out my children Lesa Ryburn, and Dave Ryburn Jr. I am sorry for the loss of your father. He was a great dad. Just remember he had been sick for a long time. He is now with the Lord. His healing is now complete.
