Karen Kay Madole, 64, passed away October 6, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Karen was born June 26, 1953 in Milan, Missouri to Norris and Anna Keithly. She was the buyer for the pharmacy at Mercy West Lakes. Karen was a member of Meredith Drive Reformed Church and the Eagles Lodge #109. She was a former union representative for Meredith Corporation and RR Donnelley. Karen loved spending time with her grandchildren and never missed any of their events.
Karen is survived by her loving husband, Steven Madole; sons, Adam (Annemarie) and Brandon (Stephanie) Beveridge; step-children, Kathy, Ted and Pam Beveridge; 17grandchildren; sister, Sandy (Gary) Wallace; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon Wallace; and an infant daughter.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 12th at the funeral home. Karen will be laid to rest at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Eagles Lodge in loving memory of Karen.

Steve, my condolences to you and your family. I started working with Karen at Capital many years ago. She was so fun to work with, always one to share jokes with and always willing to lend an ear when one was having a tough day. She will be missed, what a great person!
