Charles “Chuck” Hudnall, 84, entered into eternal peace at The Village at Legacy Pointe in Waukee, Iowa on September 29, 2017 after struggling for years with dementia.
Chuck was born August 21, 1933 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Jessie Burton Hudnall and Helen Louise (Heefner) Hudnall.
Chuck worked many years in sales retiring from the State of Iowa as a salesman for Prison Industries. Chuck served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago and Iowa Cubs, and the Iowa Barnstormers.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Shirley; and brother, Jim.
He will be missed deeply by his wife, of 34 years, Sandy.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandy; brother Dick (Nancy); son Ron (Sandi), son James (Gail); daughter Linda (Asa) Jacobe; step-daughters Debbie Grate and Janet (Bill) Batchelor; niece Karene; nephews Blaine and Aaron; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5th from 9 to 10 a.m., with services following at Staves United Methodist Church, 2747 E Madison Ave, Des Moines. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Alzheimers Association in memory of Chuck.

I remember "Chuck" when he was in the sales field for Iowa Prison Industries. He was a great advocate for their products and always portrayed a "positive" attitude that was greatly appreciated. He will be missed by many people throughout the State of Iowa.

Sandy, I am so sorry to hear about Chuck...I will always remember your anniversary shares my birthday....hugs to you my friend. I know he is in a very better place...no more struggling. I pray for you to find peace and strength for the days ahead....
