Alice Haney

Alice Lucielle Haney, 90, of Des Moines died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Fleur Heights Care Center. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street; visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Alice was born June 7, 1917 in Burlington. She worked for Don’s Super Valu as a cashier. She enjoyed volunteering for Weeks Jr. High, doing ceramics, being with her dogs, but most of all she enjoyed her family.
Alice is survived by her daughter Barbara (Paul) Monk of Des Moines; her brother Gene (Virginia) Miller of Florida; her grandson Terry (Monica) Monk of Des Moines;her great-grandchildren, Isabella, Abigail, and Ethan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her sisters Mary and Lois; and her brother, Andy.
