Chris Reyes passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 10 am Wednesday at Adelphi Calvary Baptist Church. Visitation is from 5 to 8pm Tuesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street.
Chris was born February 18, 192? in Des Moines to Laura and Roy Howser.
She did many things during her lifetime, worked at Western Union sending and receiving telegrams during the war, managed the Kirkwood Hotel and along with her husband owned and operated Ricardo’s Studio. She loved her grandchildren. Chris was passionate about photography and making gifts for her family.
Chris is survived by her loving husband, Richard, her children and grandchildren, Her son Steve (Mary) Reyes and their children, Maria (Matt) Fay and Angela Reyes. Her daughter, Jodie (Craig) Quick and their children , K.C. (Lydia) and their children, Kassidy and Dylan, Steve (Katrina), Joe and his fiancée, Amy, Andrea and Chris (Rebecca) and their children, Katie and Josh. Her sister, Colleen Izzolena. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings Billie, Rubye, Chet, Eva, Nina, Loretta, Deloris and a brother, Frederick, who died at birth.
