Elizabeth Wilson

Elizabeth Wilson, 98 of Des Moines, died on February 22, 2008 at the Prime Nursing & Rehab Center in Des Moines. Elizabeth will be cremated with a graveside held at a later date this upcoming spring at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa.
Elizabeth was born in Boone, Iowa and graduated from Boone High School. She later graduated from the University of Iowa School of Nursing and worked there until entering the Navy Nurse Corps during WW I. After three years in the service she came to Des Moines in 1947 and worked at the Veterans Hospital, until she retired.
Miss Wilson is a member of the First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. She is a charter member of the Women’s Memorial in Washington, D.C.
She is survived by one brother Ralph M. Wilson of Mesa, AZ, two nieces and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson, brother Howard N. Wilson, sister Erma M. Wilson, and brother John R. Wilson.
