Mark S. Sherman

Mark Sherman, 52, died from an enlarged heart on Friday, February 15, 2008.
He was born October 16, 1955 in Des Moines.
Mark graduated from East High School in 1974. He worked for SouthWestern Bell Telephone in California prior to returning to Des Moines. He struggled with ill health for many years. Mark was always there to encourage others and lend a helping hand when needed. Family gatherings, coffee with friends and fishing, were his favorite pastimes. Mark was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was strong in his faith and prayers.
Mark is survived by his son, Brad (Julia) Sherman, Ottumwa; mother, Barbara Sherman, Ankeny; brothers, Rodney, Portland, Maine; Shawn (Cheryl); and Kelly Sherman; sister, Susan (Randy) Greenwood; all of Des Moines; three nieces and a nephew. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Neal Sherman.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines.
