Glen Howard

Glen “Bud” Howard, 88, died at his home Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Berwick Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Glen was born August 20, 1919 in Runnells, IA to Lee and Ida Howard. Glen installed hardwood flooring for many years.
Glen was taken from the family he loved so much to be with God. He was a great husband and father. He enjoyed playing BINGO with wife Doris, deer hunting with sons and friends, fishing and visiting his daughter, Linda in Texas. Glen was a member of Our Own Van Club with his brother-in-law, Mel Slaybough
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife loving wife of 58 years, Doris of Des Moines; his children, Tim (Mary) Howard of Murry, IA and Linda (Joe) Howard Ward of Texas; stepsons, Forest (Carolyn) of St. Mary, IA and Ron (Jackie) of Woodburn, IA; granddaughter, Stephanie (Adam Cowling) Howard; great-granddaughter, Samantha Cowling, all of Osceola, IA; brother, Harold (Ruth) Howard of Perry, IA; several nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and many friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to their dear friend and neighbor, Meg Huxford.
Glen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
