Barbara Martinez

Barbara “Barb” L. Martinez left us on December 7, 2006 to be with her Lord and Savior after a long battle with lung cancer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Barb was born on July 14, 1942 in Rock Valley, Iowa. She was a devoted Christian. Barb loved shopping, going to Prairie Meadows, bingo, crossword puzzles, games, spending time with family, cooking & baking, telling stories and singing songs.
Barb is survived by her husband of 47 years, Daniel Martinez; two daughters, Debra (Steve) Webb and Melissa Martinez; siblings, Sherry (Ervin) Becker and Buddy Magnuson; four grandchildren, Steve (Tisha), Heather and Jessica Webb and Alex Martinez and five great granddaughters. She will also be missed greatly by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Barb was preceded in death by her children, Daniel and Teresa Martinez; her mother, Iola Lee and brother, Charles Magnuson.
