Amy Buchanan

Amy S. Buchanan, 39, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017.

Amy Suzanne was born March 7, 1978 in Des Moines to Edward and Madeline Buchanan. She graduated from Indianola High School. Amy was into pop culture. She enjoyed listening to music and watching movies. Amy adored her beloved dog Shadow.

Amy is survived by her parents, Edward and Madeline Buchanan; brothers, Tony (Michael) Wiley-Buchanan and Scott Buchanan; and a host of extended family.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Arlene Buchanan and Raymond and Margaret Murray; her uncle, Steve Buchanan; and great-aunt, Julia Nagie.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 with the memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Amy will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the John Stoddard Cancer Center in loving memory of Amy.
