Dorothy D. Duleepsingh

Dorothy Duleepsingh, 86, was born December 13, 1930, in Belgaum, India, the daughter of Victor and Salome Samuel. She passed away September 23, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.

Dorothy was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Des Moines. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, cooking, and entertaining friends. Dorothy was also an avid sports fan, especially of tennis.

Dorothy is survived by her siblings, Esther, David, Bazaleel, Bhanumathi, Padma, Daisy, Sandy, and Beulah; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Monsingh; and three siblings, Sophie, Stephen, and Emmanuel.

Memorial services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 3010 52nd Street in Des Moines on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.

In memory of Dorothy, donations of non-perishable food items or monetary contributions are suggested to the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) food pantry.
