Adeline Haynes

Adeline (Addie) Haynes, 96 died February 4, 2008 at Kavanagh House on 56th. Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, February 8th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial following at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla, Iowa. A visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Adeline was born October 23, 1911 in Des Moines and lived here whole life there. She worked many years at Methodist Hospital where she retired in 1987. Adeline enjoyed working in her flower garden, spending time with her family and spending time and working at the Archie Brooks Community Center.
Adeline is survived by her daughter Shirley (Cal) Wilson of Des Moines; her grandchildren, Gary (Angela) Wilson, Ronnie (Mary) Wilson, David Wilson, Diana (Jerry) Nizzi, Sandy Anderson and Lisa Wilson; her sixteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Haynes and brothers John Newton and Bill Newton.
