I don't know you well, but you are my neighbors. My children wait for the bus in your front yard. I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I wanted to let you know we had our quarterly blood drive at my work in Ankeny on Ava's birthday yesterday. As coordinator of that drive, I shared Ava's story and honored her birthday wish with our blood drive. We collected 16 units of whole blood and 2 double red donations in Ava's name. God bless you, prayers for healing and comfort for your family. Your neighbor, Dianne

My thoughts and prayers are with Ava's family and so many who have traveled Ava's journey with them. Ava's promotion has left a lasting impression on so many. May memories of the beauty of this young lady, her courage and the amazing impact she had on the Bondurant community be one that can bring a smile to one's face as they remember her. Peace and comfort to Ava's mom, dad and sister! God's peace to you!

I do not know Ava nor her family but have followed her story even though I now live in Minnesota. Ava was a courgeous young lady and although her family will miss her terribly, I know they must be very proud of her. God's peace!
