Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Nan's family. We didn't see Nan often but whenever we did, it was like meeting an old friend. I know she will be missed greatly by everyone.

Mom told us how bad her cancer was on July 21st. She was admitted in the hospital on the 4th of August. We all were hopeful for time. Time we did not get.
Jamie and I married at 19 - One of the reasons I married Jamie was because of the love he displayed for his Grandma and Mom. He ALWAYS gave kisses good-bye. His favorite girls are Grandma and Mom, he continues to say so today. When we got married I was able to join that group; I am now part of the favorite girl club.
If you had any kind of relationship with Nan, I am sure you have heard how wonderful Jamie is. While this man is NOT perfect, I have to admit he is pretty darn close. This is a man that truly loves unconditionally. She raised a man that is level headed and is a true leader. Nan was all about family, fairness, hard work, and to her core she always did the right thing. Her values were passed to her son; and last week; I wish you could all experience the love and protectiveness that some of us were lucky to see. He literally carried his mom, loved his mom, and supported her the last week of her life. Nan raised the best man I know. Nan instilled in our family thru Jamie what FAMILY means. I will so miss her, LIKE I WILL SO MISS HER! I will miss our talks, and going to her for advice, her hugs, even the crazy way she worried. For those of you lucky enough to have her in your life you understand what I mean.
I will try to carry her values, and can only hope that one day I can be as kind as she was; the mom that she was, the grandma that she was. GOD SPEED MOM!

1949 - 2017 What mattered most is the dash between those years. The dash represents all the time she spent alive on earth and only those who loved her know what that little line is worth. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. Although I know words cannot help your sorrow I just wanted you to know what a positive influence on our little ones at Greenwood. She was always there to help us out with our lunch needs, but on the personal side always asking and concerned about family. Dee is greatly missed. I feel blessed to have had her in my life.
