My heartfelt condolences to the Kaili Family. For years, you opened your hearts, home and holiday plans when I couldn't get back to see my family. I first met Dave when Karen 'made' me go next door and ask her dad for a rake to pick up confetti off her carpet that someone threw during a New Years Eve party the night before. Her dad just looked at me and said, 'who ARE you' and laughed. Over the years, he was there when Karen and I decided we were NOT mowing the lawn ANYMORE after we ran over snakes in the backyard. He was there when I needed the headlight and license plate replaced on my car. He was in the hospital waiting room after a car accident to make sure we were ok. He was even there when Karen and I thought the house was being broken into; although he didn't catch the culprits even after running around the entire city block in his BARE feet! And, he will be there whenever memories are shared even years from now. God Bless you Kaili Family and may these memories somehow bring you comfort.

Dave was one of the finest people I have ever known. He was a very family oriented individual and I know Bev and all the children will greatly miss him. Dave had a great attitude toward life and would always lift the spirits of those around him. We played a lot of golf together through the 80s and 90s. He was a good golfer and I could never manage to beat him. He always kept me advised of his family on the golf course and to this day I still think of Dave when I am out golfing. I will miss Dave and our phone conversations that we have had since I left Des Moines.
