Clara "June" Barker

Clara “June” Barker was born on September 24, 1934 in Sioux City, Iowa to Rose (Newton) and LeRoy Blair. She passed away peacefully on September 4, 2017 at Genesis Senior Living Center at the age of 82.

June married Vinton “Benny” Barker and they were blessed with raising four children. She was a proud homemaker her whole life and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed playing Bingo, gambling at the casinos and walking her dogs. She was a big animal lover.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, James (Marlene) Wilson, Gloria Ruckman, Debbie (Bobby) Heinkel and Amanda (Tim) Keiran; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Claudette (Larry) Armstrong, Vivian (Gerald) Stewart and Marian (Wayne) Carmen; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; one great-grandson; four brothers and two sisters.

Family will be holding services at a later date.
